Our mission is a journey, rather than a destination. At Kayfield Academy, we are never satisfied. We can always learn more, try harder and raise the bar to new heights. Some companies relax when they are “at the top” – not us, we only see what’s next, what might be beyond the horizon. This is what drives us, motivates us, and creates a never-ending thirst for perfection in all of our schools.

In essence, our mission is to challenge ourselves to be the best version of ourselves so we can be the best for your child. Nothing shall waive our focus from being what is best for your child. Nothing.

Our Philosophy

At Kayfield Academy, we believe learning is a natural attribute that only needs to be nurtured, caring and understanding. At Kayfield Academy, every little voice counts – every idea is celebrated, and creativity is encouraged. We believe that learning can be part structured and part play – that every child is different, and so is the way they learn.

Life is about experiences – good and bad. At Kayfield Academy, we focus on nurturing and providing an environment of excellence so your child can learn through a variety of different paths by focusing on strengths, on positive experiences and through natural curiosity and passion for understanding – all leading to a common goal of setting and accomplishing goals.

Our History

Kayfield Academy started with modest roots in Kentucky when Charlotte Kay decided to create an advanced learning center, one that focused on principles of learning that would ultimately benefit the child in real world situations. She knew that early childhood education was very important, but unfortunately neglected in so many ways because at that time many parents and teachers alike thought of early childhood education as an ancillary, and optional activity.

Now, we know the undeniable importance of early childhood education, and it’s role in providing a solid foundation for learning excellence throughout a child’s life.

Her innovative hard work brought us to the Kayfield Academy of today, one which challenges and stimulates a child’s mind and gives them a competitive edge throughout their learning experiences in life.

Our Curriculum

Kayfield Academy employs an advanced and proprietary curriculum standard that utilizes core principles of those instituted by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

Our educational standards incorporate diverse and advanced principles and research-based initiatives for early childhood education. Our core values mirror those of the NAEYC, although they are a hybrid of our own educational philosophies:

Our Culture

Internally, Kayfield Academy celebrates a culture of diversity, and flexibility – but also one that challenges teachers and support staff to become a better version of themselves. At Kayfield Academy, we are all friends, we all share a like-minded goal of enriching and enhancing the lives of the children we are so honored to teach – because through their presence, we are stronger, we are smarter and we are all truly invested.

We are a business on the outside, but as soon as you walk through the front doors of any Kayfield Academy school, you will instantly understand that together, we are more than just a place to drop off your child in the morning. We are a safe and secure place; one which fosters an atmosphere of creativity and accountability; to your child and to each other. Without you, our caring and involved parents, we are fragmented. Together, we are whole.

Our Goals

At Kayfield Academy, our goals are simple; we want to expand to become a preferred care and early education provider throughout the state of  Kentucky. Our ongoing reputation for excellence, trust and consistency has allowed us to maintain a great and solid reputation for providing the best and most comprehensive early childhood education program in the state for the last 20 years.

We intend on remaining number one, and expanding into additional undeserved markets in upcoming years.
